My first finished assignment!

My first finished project is a response to the word "ordinary" for a book for my illustration class. I had to upload it to our blog for illustration so I figured I might as well upload it here as well!

Cheers!

You learn something new everyday...

"Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived." (Picard)

If I have learned one thing thus far from my classes, friends, and new home it would be that each day, minute, and moment can teach you something new. New about yourself, and about how you view yourself and others in the world.

Last weekend I went on a camping trip to the Bay of Fires with an amazing group of people. Ten out of the eleven of us were from the states, and the eleventh, a girl name Anna from Sweden. This group, along with an assortment of Aussies and Europeans here have become my new family. However, they are different from any friends, or family I have ever had. Each person is someone who I would most likely not become really close friends with, and its actually been both enlightening and amazing to hear all of their stories. I regret any stereotypes I originally may have placed upon them, and I have learned that appearance, lifestyle, and hobbies do not completely predict who or what a person is.

The Bay of Fires was the most beautiful place I have ever seen, and the memories I made with these individuals will last a lifetime, if not longer...

and then it began...

So after being asked a few times about whether or not I had a blog of my trip i decided to in fact begin one. I consulted with my harry potter compadre of UTas in order to figure out exactly how to set it up. Perfectly enough, my Narrative Illustration class also has a blog onto which I will be required to upload assignments and so I decided to go for it and keep an online blog of spot or spot of blog.

Onto this I hope to supply you some of the many adventures I encounter upon my journey into the unknown and untraveled terrain of art, philosophy, and psychology- in Tasmania told especially to you by me. I will also hopefully post some pictures.

This is what the view from my window looked like the first day I arrived:

Ok g'day or cheers for now and hopefully I will blog a spot sometime soon.
